I get excited about finding new ways to engage with the next generation, and I am fascinated by the intersections of education and media. I am also interested in growing current conversations around what it means to live sustainably.
currently, I am an associate editor at Scholastic where I work on classroom magazines for middle schoolers. I am also a freelance writer covering sustainable living. on a more personal level, I have been exploring storytelling on themes of cultural identity, community, and family.
I earned my B.A in communications from the University of Michigan - Dearborn and my M.A in journalism from New York University. since graduating in 2013, I have created both print and digital content for brands like: Sesame Street, Time Out New York Kids, Martha Stewart Living, Saveur, The Spruce, Departures, and more.
